Well I was persuaded / cajoled to go and see the Barbie movie last night! Really not what I would normally choose but it wasn't as dire as I thought it would be. Entertaining in a mild sort of way but there are worse ways to spend a Friday night than two hours of staring at Margot Robbie's face - which seems to be what the movie is really about. She is truly captivating so it's easy to just ignore the storyline and dream about her. 💋❤ I'm hoping to restore the balance by seeing Oppenheimer on Thursday, more what I would choose in the normal run of events.

Well Friday has come around again! (it usually does) And the MotoGP mid-season break is over so we have the British round at Silverstone to look forward too - sprint race on Saturday and full GP Sunday. OK, I'm obsessed with it, I admit. Going to be walking this weekend instead of running as still injured which is a nightmare as got important 10k race in about 6 weeks. Hoping a week off and some stretching, etc will sort it out so I can get back on track. You all have a great day and take a rest from Trump for a while! Alessia xxx

Hi, went for a run yesterday and ended up crippled! My right hip really painful for some reason, suspect I landed awkwardly going down a kerb. Fingers cross all will be resolved tomorrow. On the good side I get a rest day today! xx 😍😍💋💋

Apologies but had a busy couple of days! Out for a meal in Manchester last night. Lovely meal but service left a bit to be desired. Don't you hate it when they clear away one course then just leave you sat there for ages staring at an empty tablecloth. And then I've been to Southport today, where the Open golf championships came from just last week at the Royal Birkdale course on the dunes by the sea. Very nice little town, quiet and genteel, rather upmarket. It's where Liverpudlians (scousers) who have done well in life escape to! Liverpudlians whose lives have turned in the other direction end up in Skelmersdale or Runcorn!
