DOGTOOTH RIDGE: I made two videos. I still managed to get my clothes in the shot. I tried a second time to put them out, but they are still in frame. I did need to be closer to me. I did need to check the focus (finger print on the lens). I did need to do a lot of things. I was more concerned of being alert to any sounds of bears or other wildlife. And getting the view in the frame. Oh well. I learn from every shoot I do.

DOGTOOTH RIDGE: The rocks were sharp and cold. The air was brisk. And I am in grizzly country with bear sightings that morning, so I needed to be very cautious. When I am nude, with my gear far from me, I am defenseless. But I had to get that view.

GOLDEN BC CANADA: I went to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and took the ski lift up to Eagles Eye mountain to hike the ridge trails. There is one trail that takes you to an upper lift called Stairway to Heaven along the Dogtooth Ridge. These photos were taken on the ridge. This is grizzly bear country and Im alone. With absolutely zero defenses. But the view. That epic view. I had to do it. I will admit, I was so entranced with the view, I did not realize that I was out of focus a bit. GOLDEN BC CANADA: I have posed with cut logs a few times. Lying with the logs helps me connect to their existence. Logging in this area is a long time practice that dates back to the 1860s. As technology advances, so does our ability to cut down these magnificent trees faster. Its a difficult argument. GOLDEN BC CANADA: Where ever there are forests there is deforestation. Its sad to see all these great trees have been cut down. We need the trees for our homes, for warmth, for products, for paper, for so much. But we also need the trees for oxygen. They are the fibers of the lungs of the earth. And what they exhale, we inhale.
