A seasonal post featuring a 1940s peach silk bedjacket. Bedjackets were originally worn in the 19th Century to keep their wearer warm as they sat up in bed. But by the 1930s, and aided by 1930s films, they had become a lingerie staple meant more for show than anything functional. Hope you enjoy & that you all had a safe and warm thanksgiving 💕

I restarted work after my workplace was shutdown due to COVID & I also moved! Ancient 1940s Proverb: Are my seams straight? The answer is no. I got a run in these vintage nylons while shooting this. They're going to be relegated to the "wear only at home" pile now! This bra, garter belt and knickers set is Madame X by Dita Von Teese-- not vintage, but vintage inspired. Dita is a major style icon of mine and her attention to detail in her lingerie pieces in unsurpassed. Enjoy the free outtakes! 💕
