So I found out recently that Ernest has feline leukemia. And he’s active. He’s been losing a ton of weight and he’s been throwing up a ton. The lifespan of a cat with feline leukemia is 2.5 years after they are active. They can’t tell me how long Bernie has been “active”. Just that there isn’t a cure. There’s nothing they can do and I’m just trying to make the rest of his life (and potentially Chai’s, because she probably caught it just by being his sister) calm, happy and full of all the fat cat things I could give him. He went from 21lbs to 9lbs in less than a year.
If you have cats please get them vaccinated for feline leukemia. I thought I had at least 7 more years of him bugging me every morning.
