So I've been beyond busy with life. Like ridiculously busy. Overwhelmingly busy. And to boot, the morning after Christmas, Tamponé passed away. Thankfully I was there with him when he went. And last week, Ellie's best friend was hit by a car. The owners don't have a fence and he saw a deer and ran. The car never even stopped. Today we got the matching light up collars we ordered for them. Ellie's is pink and his was blue. So sad. And she's been so sad she can't see her friend. Poor girl.

So, I'm, hello. Yeah, it's been awhile. My health has been declining and I've been trying to adapt and balance work and home stuff. I'm finally starting to give in to the fact that my neck instability is just too bad to sit up all the time. So, as I accept that I'll have to spend a lot of my time in bed to lessen my pain and symptoms, I'll be learning to adapt my work to, well, work with that.

I know this might be a longshot, but I bought braces that I need for my dislocations and am trying to get them funded. I have a GoFundMe, but I'm not getting many shares, so I'm trying on here. I'm buying from a small business and with what I've previously bought from them, combined with this, it's saving me about $1,500 overall. Which is good because the custom wheelchair I needed was discontinued and I'll have to price out another model, which is looking like it'll cost more. So if anyone has a few bucks to spare, it would really help.

Hard to see because I had to get my phone and it'd already moved, but here's one of the many strays in my area. A lot of them live in my yard because it's also a scrapyard. This is why I'd love to turn this into a place for others to donate so I can TNR. I love kittens, but population control is important as well.

My pops was out with Ellie and she was wearing her 'service dog in training' outfit and did really well not getting distracted at the store. A little girl saw her and got excited, but her mom explained to her that service dogs are working and to never pet them. My pops did let the girl pet Ellie, and made sure to reinforce what the mom had said and explain that he wants her to get used to those types of distractions.

Most people don't know not to touch service dogs, so it was great to hear that the mom made sure to stop her daughter from doing so and educate her on the why.

I got my clothes and it feels so great to have clothes that actually fit and aren't falling apart and stitched together. I'll post some pictures once I go through them all. Thank you to those that have helped to reimburse. My post is still up, if anyone still wants to send.

What if this account started to include raising money to TNR all the cats in my neighborhood? Would y'all be willing to donate towards that? I'd keep this updated with pictures of the kitties, to show I'm not just taking the money and running (well, wheeling). We just have so many, year after year, and it hurts me thinking about all the kittens being made needlessly and not surviving. And I could use any extra money donated to feed the cats and make warm homes for them in the winter.

So, I've officially survived COVID pneumonia! And I celebrated by going on a shopping spree that was just for me for the first time in over a decade. I did get one outfit that was for a cosplay, but I'm proud of myself for finally getting some stuff for me. But if anyone is interested in essentially reimbursing, that would be wonderful. With it being kitten season, I could end up with kittens at any point and even a bit of what I spent being replaced could help if I randomly end up with neonatals to care for.

In week three of COVID pneumonia and it's been a really good day. Thinking I might survive it, but I also know pneumonia is a sneaky bitch, COVID pneumonia even more so. Just wanted to drop an update.

I've been dealing with COVID pneumonia. I honestly wasn't sure when it first started if it was pneumonia or more lung damage, but now I know. I've had pneumonia before, a lot, but this is so much worse. Which I expected. I'm taking so many meds and just trying to get through this.

If anyone would like to send to help with costs, especially since I can't predict just how bad this will get, it would be super appreciated.
