Welcome to my NEW OF page, created for the purpose of discussing and strengthening the mind, body, soul connection. My hope is for this page to be a place for people to come to feel loved, inspired, validated, and accompanied along their life journey.

Some of what to expect: daily (for the most part) workouts, yoga, dietary advice, and many more tips and tricks I have learned over the years from being an athlete/dancer, a student of psychology, a mental health worker, a SW, a survivor of trauma, an oldest sibling, a lover, an empath, an old soul inside this human body, etc

I am constantly learning and implementing new things (or re-starting old things) into my way of living to help with my healing process, and anticipate continuing to do so for the rest of my time on this earth. I spend quite a bit of time alone, but know deeply that I am always connected to everyone and everything... including you.

Sometimes you don't know how you're going to react to something until it happens. I thought I could be OK with using this site, as it used others... but turns out I'm not. So, while this page has absolutely nothing to do with sex, I will still be deleting it along with my other page, due to the announcement that OF made today. I haven't decided exactly what I'm going to do yet. I'm actually thinking of putting a bunch of the stuff on YouTube and maybe making a new website? I don't know. But, morally, I cannot stay. I decided to take my workout to the tennis court this morning. It was a great spot, as far as getting to workout in the heat, and having a flat surface-- especially because what I wanted to do was a more aerobic workout. And then part way through, the leaf blowing (or I'm assuming that's what it was) on the other side of the fence started.

I've been working on just allowing things to happen, and if I were just doing a workout alone, I wouldn't have minded. But I get so anxious about people watching getting annoyed! So I was trying to decide what to do, and I thought, "Well, the point of this page is supposed to be healing. And to me, a big part of healing is getting through annoyances. So, actually, I could be helping those watching by presenting them with something that includes things like loud noises in the background."

So, of course you can turn the sound off or down, and just follow what I'm doing. But I would like to encourage you to keep it on. To notice how it makes you feel. And to move through it 😊❤️

My back is hurting A LOT this cycle, so we're going to focus on the abs today. My back pain is mostly due to scoliosis and pushing my body in gymnastics early in life, and gets exasperated by my period. But definitely keeping my abs strong helps! As is the case with most back pain. OK, ready? Let's do it

When I woke up yesterday, I wasn't sure what I was going to do. It was raining again, so I knew it was going to be something inside or on the balcony. While doing the beginning of my morning routine, I thought it would be fun to do a nice long yoga flow, with some new added exercises. Then, when I got out of the shower, my period arrived. By the time I got ready to start yoga, I DID NOT want to add in fun new exercises. And there's very little space on the balcony, so instead I just recorded the flow. I didn't speak, because I actually found the sound of the wind, rain, and birds to be quite soothing, and thought you might too! 😊

It was raining again when I got up yesterday. And it was the day before my period started so I was super tired. I wanted to do something that got my body moving that also evoked joy. As I was deciding what to do, a friend of mine from college texted me, and I realized I never listened to the mix he sent me last week. So I put in my headphones and turned it on. It was perfect. I danced around, took selfies, cleaned a little… and most importantly, felt lots of joy!

It rained on and off all night/morning, so we're inside today. Let's get it on the floor and get in some fun and effective full body exercises!

I finally went on a proper hike a couple days ago. I've always loved hiking. When I was a little one, we used to "climb mountains" (as we called it) in Maine. They were always such that we started out in woods- maybe there were some streams, or even ponds or lakes on the way up, which was fun- and then eventually, we'd come out of the woods onto rock, where the view was amazing. Then the excitement to reach the top would set in, restoring any energy that had been used thus far. And of course the top was breathtaking. Every. Single. Time.

It's never gotten old for me. I've hiked some trails hundreds of times, and others only once. It feels fucking incredible every time. My muscles feel great, my mind feels clear, and my soul feels free.

I have similar feelings about walking/running on the beach... or really anywhere in nature. Which is why I try to do as many of those things as possible as often as possible. The more frequently I'm feeling those feelings that come up while being/ exercising in nature, the better I feel, and the more able I am to work on healing other parts of myself.

Is anyone else a nature lover? Any favorite spots? I always love hearing about people's positive memories and experiences in beautiful places 😊🙏🏻❤️

My period is nearing, which means my energy is dwindling... and so is that of my phone, which keeps overheating apparently. Glad we're on the same page, though 😂
