I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July! I really wanted to take content that day but my house was filled with family and friends and the day just got away! I did get a cute picture of my face though lol

I’m going to get back into the swing of things and start making new content😊

I have missed you guys! I know I have been Mia the last couple months but things were just tough the end of my pregnancy. I wanted to share what had happened with us though!

Our birth story may be long but it really only took 34 minutes.

On Thursday the 27th I was 4cm dilated so I went home and bounced on my birthing ball after my appointment. At 1:40 am I was woken up to 1 contraction that lead to 3 very strong contractions that were 2 minutes apart and I knew it was time to go. We got to the hospital by 2:30 am and by the time we got to our room in a matter of minutes I was at 5cm then 6cm. Suddenly we lost his heart beat and tried every position to get it back. Hearing this and seeing about 8-10 doctors being in my room is a very scary feeling. My doctor had then checked me again and I was 9cm ready to push. Trying everything they could to get him to come including using the vacuum we had no success and still couldn’t find a heart beat. I was rushed into an emergency c-section to find he was trying to come out of my previous c-section scar. They had him out in about a minute and a half maybe even less. not even joking.

They couldn’t believe it when Lennox came out screaming and crying. They took him to the NICU to find that he had f e t a l acidosis (high amounts of acid levels and being deprived of oxygen for an extended period of time) by the grace of god he had corrected all of his levels on his own which is rare. After taking him out they had found that my uterus had started spitting open and had almost ruptured which can be deadly for mom and baby. If we were seconds later things would have ended very badly. They had also found that my pelvic bones are so small and close together that he would have never been able to descend down on his own. Which explains all the pain I had at the end of my pregnancy. We now know there were signs during my finally weeks that I believe this could have been prevented.

Our birth was not what we had expected at all but I’m just so thankful for the team of doctors we had that night that worked as fast as they did to save mine and Lennox’s life. All of the doctors that night was given an award for what they did! Our story is nothing short of a miracle and we definitely have our guardian angles watching over us.

I’m sorry I haven’t been on! These last couples weeks have been so emotionally and physically draining. The Sunday before Valentine’s Day I got the call that someone in my family that I was very close with passed away.. being there an hour after she was found and seeing the process of the entire thing got the best of me.

To top everything off I am a high risk pregnancy so on Friday I was admitted to the hospital for contractions that put me into a false labor. So this mama just needs to relax as much as I can to keep this baby in for 9 more weeks!
