A couple weeks ago, I finally stepped foot into a pool after a few years of not even coming near one, and I felt confident enough to lounge with my top just barely covering me. I still question my own physical progress in most aspects, and I am definitely not at my target, but I am better than when I first started, and it's a mindset that we should all visit and adopt often. There will be failures, setbacks, and Life will throw whatever it can at us, but progress is progress, and as long as we keep going forward, even a tiny bit at a time, we will find ourselves at our goals we set for ourselves. I know I am weighted by a day job, side job, other hobbies, housekeeping, physical and mental health problems, family, friends, and other relationships, and it's all difficult to juggle, especially in the immediate world I live in. But as long as I keep making progress, I will reach my goal eventually. I think the saying goes "If I'm 1% better every day, then after 100 days, I will be 100% better than the day I started", and from personal experience, it's true! So whatever it is that you're doing, always be patient with yourself, love the journey you are on, take notes on how you're changing, when things click, and then look back at those days when you started the journey. You'll see that a lot has changed, even if it doesn't feel like it.
