Doggos in undies: hilarious. 😂 I’m testing these out to make sure they’re comfortable enough for Mica to lounge around and sleep in. As our pets age, incontinence can be a very common stage for all of them, but there are quite a few products these days to work with it so it doesn’t have to be a problem. These in particular happen to be washable, which I wanted since I thought they would be softer and more comfortable, but there are plenty of disposable options too. The nice part is that Mica seems to like them! Or at least very comfortable in them. Introducing her to a new piece of clothing that holds onto her while she moves didn’t take long and was an easy procedure. Make it positive, make it fun, and new items won’t be so scary for our pets!

Throwback to last summer, when I spent what felt like EVERY WAKING MOMENT baiting, trapping, and caring for the colony cats around my apartment. This is Romanov: one of a litter of kittens I’d watched grow up on the grounds and named after SHIELD agents. He was the last one to FINALLY be caught! Just like the sneaky Russian spy he’s named after, he was the hardest one to pin down. After he was caught in a humane trap, I turned Romanov over to Friends of Felines Kansas for vaccinations and neutering (and an ear tip, to tell him apart from the rest of the colony). Once the Good Stuff from the vet wore off, we let him go back home! Feral colony cats that can’t be kept in a family home can still live happy, healthy lives and once their reproduction is controlled, they can keep away pests both large and small. Skunks and wandering Tom cats aren’t too interested in coming around when there’s a whole neighborhood of kitties protecting their home! Find out which groups in your area are doing Trap, Neuter, Release programs!

Say hello to Sisko! I am really looking forward to my first job with this gentleman and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall his siblings. Can’t wait to show them all off to you!

As for the Captain here, Sisko is a four year old polydactyl (he has THUMBS) tabby boy. He has really enjoyed the pandemic this year as it gave him the opportunity to basically meld with his human like an overeager male angler fish, so I suspect that we might have some opportunities to talk about separation anxiety while I’m working with him. He does have to share his humans with a lot of other animal siblings but he’s a very sweet, loving kitty and isn’t terribly shy asking me for attention, even after a long pandemic separation. I doubt he remembers me from pre-Covid! But I still got those coveted cuddles and purrs when I was over last for info gathering.

As for curling up on top of a rocking ottoman and stretching out one arm to knowingly snag a claw in a nearby indoor trampoline… I don’t know. I really don’t. The best individuals are just weird, I think.

Nighttime play with miss Sookie Sue! Who’re you calling old?? This Golden lady’s just getting started living her life and she’s going to start by finding that little fabric squeaky mouse and biting the HECKIN HECK out of it!

I haven’t been feeling so great lately so interesting pictures haven’t been a priority. I’ve got some good stuff stored up from last month, though, and upcoming jobs with new clients to delight everyone! Know what’s been missing from my feed? REPTILES HAVE BEEN MISSING.

The rolls, my gosh, the glory of them. 😍 My girl Mica, a senior hound / pit bull mix and full of dignity... sometimes. At this exact moment anyway, I was too busy playing with her extra skin and soft fur to worry about her ego.

Her Royal Chonkiness really doesn’t appreciate being picked up and will immediately complain if you try... but Her Majesty Zardoz also cannot... actually... get up to the window herself. So.

We all must suffer for our art, precious. And once I got her planted on the window sill, she didn’t move an inch until I had to close it. Always be careful with your fat pet buddies - and any other living creature you’re trying to lift into the air, honestly - and make sure they’re fully supported before you get them up off the floor. Z is specifically bottom heavy so I made sure the hand on her rump was fully supportive and protected her spine with a careful palm at her chest, too. Gravity alone can seriously hurt somebody if you lift them wrong.

TLDR: Look at this happy baby. 💚
