My stepfather was placed into hospice yesterday and passed away today. I wasn't terribly close to him, and I've had a little over two years to prepare for this day, (he was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in 2018 and given about 2 years to live), but I'm absolutely gutted for my mother, (especially today of all days), and my nieces, to whom he was a loving grandfather.

Unfortunately, due to his passing, it's very likely I'll have services to attend this week and, in needing to prioritize my family, my hiatus will unfortunately be extended.
