Japan had severe food shortages after 1943 and even large families were only supplied with a tiny amount of rice. No sugar of course.
I know this because I have learned it over and over again in school.

But I was curious to know what life was like in America.

I saw that America had so much less ice cream but even during the war there were Disney movies! 😂 very interesting!
I'd love to do more research but I didn't get many hits 🧐🔎

It's August!
I hope something fun will happen!

Today I went to a shopping mall for the first time in a while and enjoyed shopping.

This is the first time I've been to LUSH in the US, but I see that LUSH shoppers' smiles are the same all over the world 😂 that's great!
I bought a new body spray and am looking forward to putting it on!

And I got some very tasty cookies at a little store nearby...
I'll try not to gain weight 😫

I gained a little weight because I ate as much as I wanted on the last tour, but only 1 kg 🤣
But that 1 kg also feels heavy to me 😂

So this time I came to the US and I am on something called the autophagy diet. Do you know about it?

It is a diet where you can eat whatever you want for only 8 hours in a day. So I fast for 16 hours 🥹(I heard nuts and yogurt are ok)

Sometimes I can't, but most days I can 🙆‍♀️
So far I haven't seen any visible effects. LOL!!!
I don't feel like I'm gaining. But when I wake up in the morning, I'm incredibly hungry, so I can get up right away. I don't feel dull!

Sorry for all the diet talk 🤣
I may be a little stoic about how I look because I am a public person.
I just want to keep my current shape.
It's the best way for me to stay healthy and move easily during the match.

Do you guys have any diets?
Or are you just having fun and not worrying about it?

My favorite place in Tokyo is the Asakusa area. I love the atmosphere of that area.

🎤 That's just fashion! In Japan, people wear cross jewelry for fashion. Very few people wear it because they are Christians.

🎤 I like it! I used to win prizes in fountain pen and other writing contests when I was little.

DEFY ended on Friday night and after an early morning flight, I didn't sleep a wink on the plane, arrived home and I was sleeping like crazy again. I slept for maybe 13 hours 😂😂

Before I went to bed I decided to treat myself and ordered a boba milk tea from Uber Eats. But I forgot about it and left my boba tea at the door for 13 hours 😰
It stood alone as a hot boba. I was so mad at myself for what a terrible thing I had done 😂😂

I put it in the fridge and returned it back to cold boba tea and drank it all. Sorry.

Seattle was so wonderful.
It was a little cold and the temperature was just right!

I lost my title match at DEFY but it was fun. I'm glad the crowd enjoyed it so much!

I just want to show everyone the strange scene where I could only do one push-up, but the crowd had a blast...

Recently, after each show, I make a notebook to reflect on the points that were exciting and the points that I should have improved on.
In doing so, I've learned a little bit about how to present myself to the audience, so I think I'll probably grow a lot after this two-month tour. LOL.

Hey guys. How are you?

Well, I bought a pair of Crocs for the first time in my life. I was determined not to wear that one (sorry Crocs fans. But I don't want to buy something everyone else has) I lost. Looks so easy.

Since coming to the US, I've started dressing like I'm comfortable.
I always wear T-shirts and shorts. I guess I am easily influenced 😂I guess I am adaptable 😂

Oh and my first pair of crocs were the wrong size. I bought a size 8. These are way too big. 🤣I always buy a bigger size. I don't know why!

Then I went to the store for the first time and was thrilled to return it. My first return in the US!

The store clerk was very kind and smiled at me.
Since I am a foreigner, I am often asked where I am from, and when I answer Japan, most people either have a good story about Japan or say that they want to go to Japan too.
Of course they do. I know that Japan is wonderful.

And I ended up buying a pair of size 6 crocs 😂8 is too big 🤣
It's black with thick soles and lots of spikes to make them cool🤩

I'm going to a game tomorrow so I'm wearing them! Looking forward to it!

Also! I actually got an offer from an indy company I wanted to work for!
I have a feeling it will be announced soon.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while 😹

Indie life is harder than I thought! Single matches are damaging. You have to work from early morning till midnight. Flights are delayed.🫠

Yesterday I arrived home and found myself sleeping without eating dinner.
I must be very tired if I skip dinner.

Now, I would like to report about last weekend.

On the day of my birthday, I went to Canada.
My opponent, Jody, was a very sweet girl, had great wrestling skills, and was a lot of fun.

The show had a USA vs. Canada theme going on.
I was on the US team. LOL.
But the result was the Canadian team won.

After the show, there was a kind of award ceremony, and we, the American team, received a kind of award for our hard work, and we were given medals.

But I was the only one who did not get a medal 🤣

Oh, well, I am a foreigner, so I guess it can't be helped... 😂. I was a little sad 😂
More than anything, I thought the fans who came to see me would be sad too 😂
So I gave off an aura of sadness.

Other players saw that and gave me the medals they got one after another 🤣
Everyone's kindness saved my life😂

But at the very end my name was called as the MVP of the day and I finally got my medal🤣 and not only that, a cake was brought to the ring!
I was so surprised and so happy that everyone knew it was my birthday that I cried!

Oh, I thought, surprises like this aren't just for movies🤣
I actually feeling lonely for a long time because I had friends who celebrated me on social media but not in the real world 😂
When I showed my passport at the airport, I wondered if they would celebrate me since it's my birthday today. But they didn't say anything 🤣I was a little sad 🤣

I really appreciate smash for giving such a warm welcome to a first time Japanese visitor.

After the show we all had cake together.
It was so delicious ☺️

The smash staff showed us a kind of progression chart. The theme of the show was "America vs Canada" and "We are having a birthday party for Maki" 😂

I hope to come back to SMASH again!

I turned 28 years old on July 22!

But nothing special 🫤
I wish I was popular enough to throw a party or something!

But this is the first time I'm spending my birthday in a foreign country! What did I do for my birthday last year?

I'm going to the match today as I usually do on weekends.

I can do something for myself every day (I'm a bit naive to myself), so I still think a day like today is a day to thank you all.

Hey guys. How are you?

I woke up early today so I worked out in the morning! How healthy am I?

For the first time in my life, I made stir-fry type frozen food for breakfast and lunch!
You know what I mean? The kind that uses fire, not microwave! I'm so afraid of fire that I only use the microwave, but I'm growing so much! 🤣

And it's almost my birthday so I went to the mall for myself🎶.
I bought some clothes but it was hot so I didn't stay that long and left 🚕

Lately I've been watching an anime called BOCCHI THE ROCK! Good anime! The music is good too!
This one was popular a while ago so I hope everyone knows about it 😂I'm always late to the party 🫠

I recommend it if you like bands or if you don't have many friends because I think you'll enjoy it! 🤣

By the way, Shimokitazawa station, the location in the anime here, is my favorite station.
I often go there to play and this anime made me miss Japan a little bit. 🇯🇵

Hey guys. How are you?

I was drained yesterday and slept most of the day.

Today I feel better and have been up since 5am👁👁

I spent the morning getting my own nails done.
I brought my nail set from Japan so I can do my own nails💅

I originally went to a nail salon and paid to have my nails done.
But I found out that I can do it well by myself if I practice, so I bought all the things like LED lights and nail-off machines. So I don't have to go to the salon anymore.
This is an unexpected skill 🤩
If you're curious, please pay attention to my nails when you see me. I am rather good at it!

And I immediately went for an adventure near my house.

I still love going to the supermarket because it's fun 🤩
I had so much fun that I even bought more than I could hold by myself!

Seeing a little Japanese girl carrying a crazy amount of bags, the cleaning staff lady gave me a big garbage bag. She packed it all in this! 🤣I thought she was a hero! She was so cool!

Today, I bought 3 ice creams lmao!

m&m's cookie ice cream and 2 Ben & Jerry's box ice cream 🤣.
They don't have them in Japan!

And cereal for breakfast! I was going to have choose one, but they looked so good I bought them both! I can't wait to try them 🤯!

Also, I ordered a crazy amount of cup noodles from Amazon, so those arrived home too!
So it's nice to have lots of food now!

I'll be careful with potato chips and cookies this time.
I ate too much last time and it made my skin crazy rough🤦‍♀️
