Mornings used to be the worrrst for me.

In a previous life, my abuser would be in my face. Screaming at me about getting out of bed. If I truly cared about him then I would get out bed exactly when he does, right? So we could sit together? He would pick fights while I tried to deal with my own morning, nevermind getting his kids ready for the day.

One thing I really miss is having coffee made for me in the morning. But that is a very small tradeoff to make for some fucking peace. I think I need to get myself a programmable coffee maker.

Now, every morning, I get to spend at least an hour relaxing in my bed, watching tv, and sipping my coffee. No yelling. No fights. Nobody in my space. No one to stink up my bathroom.

I left this relationship 2 years ago. I'm still working on the healing process.

But god, this morning is beautiful.

Where have I been? Absolutely everywhere 💕

Manitoba winters are intense. Our summers are equally as intense 😍 but super short.

So far this summer i've enjoyed many park days, celebrated Pride multiple times, enjoyed live music and many a beer (but not quite enough). I got SO MUCH candy at a parade this weekend. I've got layers of tanlines, i've participated in a drum circle, taken many walking tours, and eaten so many festival hot dogs nummmanum.

Last summer, I felt guilty about not having time/not feeling up to posting enough.

This summer, i've decided to enjoy my summer without the guilt.

I will still be around and still posting! I would absolutely warn you all if I planned to shutter down. I just won't be around as often. Maybe some livestreams are in order?
